As we commemorate the University of Nottingham Malaysia’s 25-year legacy, we now look towards the future, setting our sights for the next 25 years to continue shaping the future of UK education in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region. 

As exemplified by the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM), the essence of UK education lies in its ability to inspire curiosity, nurture critical thinking, and foster a global perspective. In a fast-paced, evolving world, these values remain the core of our dedication for the years to come. At the heart of our vision, UNM will remain committed to leveraging our global expertise and local understanding to provide a world-class education, an enriching student experience and a research environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and excellence. Through this, we will create positive impact for our students, our academic staff, and the broader tertiary education landscape in Malaysia.  

The future of the UNM is bright: we are ever focused on taking tangible steps that will make this vision a reality. Beyond enhancing our research capabilities to push the boundaries of knowledge, we will continue to foster strategic international collaborations and partnerships alongside developing innovative and dynamic programmes to foster industry-ready graduates with essential career skills to effectively and positively contribute to society at large.  

Of course, none of our success to date would have been possible without our amazing community of talented faculty, dedicated staff, and ambitious students, each carrying their own unique and intriguing stories throughout UNM’s 25 years. We are immensely grateful for the dedication of our staff, the passion of our students, and the unwavering support of our partners that have collectively built UNM’s story of excellence and achievement over the last 25 years and that will continue to shape the lives of generations to come.  

I look forward to seeing the milestones that UNM will continue to achieve and the stories we will shape through as we build on this success and lead the university into an even more exciting future.
