Introduction

The International Symposium on Food Environment for Healthy Diets and Improved Nutrition 2025 (ISFE 2025) will centre on the theme of “Transcending Disciplines and Sectoral Boundaries to Create Sustainable and Healthy Food Environments.” ISFE 2025 brings together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and industry stakeholders across diverse disciplines to explore cutting-edge research and innovative solutions in the field of food environments. The symposium aims to highlight cross-cutting challenges and uncover collaborative opportunities that transcend traditional academic and sectoral boundaries.

By fostering meaningful dialogue and exchange, ISFE 2025 aspires to build a vibrant, interdisciplinary community - particularly among emerging researchers- committed to shaping healthier, more sustainable food systems, especially within transitioning economies.

  • Step 1: Complete the registration form.
  • Step 2: An e-invoice will be sent to your registered email within 3–7 working days.
  • Step 3: Make your payment via the e-Gateway. Payment instructions and the e-Gateway link will be included in your e-invoice.
  • Step 4: Email your payment receipt to fsdiversification@nottingham.edu.my 
    with the subject line: Proof of Payment – [Registrant Name], [Registration ID].

 


Abstract submission

Submission period: 20 March - 20 May 2025

We welcome submissions from researchers, professionals, policymakers, industry experts, and postgraduate students working in fields related to food environment research.

How to submit: Submit your abstract via the submission link by 20 May 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email between mid-May and the end of May 2025. 

Submission guidelines

  • Abstracts must be written in British English.
  • You may submit multiple abstracts, but each must be submitted using a separate form.
  • Best Poster and Oral Presentation Awards are open to postgraduate students and early career researchers (within three years of completing their PhD).
  • The Scientific Committee will review all submissions and assign accepted abstracts as oral or poster presentations.
  • All presenters must complete their registration by 10 June 2025. Failure to do so may result in your abstract being excluded from the symposium programme.
