Welcome to the Institute of Work, Organisation and Wellbeing, where our vision is to navigate shifting landscapes with a focus on optimising both organisational and individual effectiveness and wellbeing. Our journey began in 2006 as the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations (IWHO) with a commitment to advancing postgraduate education in industrial/organisational psychology and occupational health and safety leadership and has since evolved to embrace a broader spectrum of psychology. Our growth in 2024 signifies our expanded role within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and our dedication to addressing the complex needs of industry and society through comprehensive teaching and research.

Our School draws on industrial, organisational and applied psychological principles to deliver cutting-edge research and practical solutions that enhance work environments, foster sustainable practices, and prioritise mental and physical health throughout Asia. By leveraging interdisciplinary expertise, we aim to empower individuals and organisations to evolve and thrive in harmony, unlocking the true potential of people and systems.

We offer a rich portfolio of programmes, including the University’s pioneering undergraduate degree in applied psychology and management, MSc in management psychology, and advanced MPhil and PhD degrees. Our core focus areas are pivotal in shaping effective workplace practices, enhancing public and occupational health, and managing health-related services. A degree through us equips you with specialised knowledge and skills and provides the tools to make a meaningful impact within organisations and society.

Join us on a journey towards a future where work is not just a place to achieve goals but a source of fulfilment and positive impact.
