The agreement was signed between National University, Bangladesh Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Bangladesh, Bangladesh Open University, National Academy for Educational Management and The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.

The Vinod Sekhar Incubation Centre (VSIC) was launched on 16 November 2016 at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) by Professor Sir David Greenaway, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Nottingham. VSIC is the fruit of the collaboration between UNMC and Petra Group to provide a platform to facilitate the research innovations to become viable businesses ventures.

Dr Nafis Alam, Associate Professor at Nottingham University Business School, The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) was conferred the Upcoming Personality in Islamic Finance (Academic) 2016 award at the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) held in Jakarta recently. The GIFA Awards are held annually as market-led awards in Islamic banking and finance to recognise the contributions of individuals and institutions in the industry.
