Before this, he worked remotely as a Campaign Coordinator and Policy Advocate with Hunger Free America, where he championed the passage of a bill aimed at bolstering food security programs in the United States.

Abdelbari’s commitment to international development began with his tenure as a Peace Corps Volunteer, working as a Food Security Extension Agent. In this role, he engaged in youth entrepreneurship, agri-business, and agricultural initiatives at the community level. He further contributed as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Guinea, serving as an Agriculture and Access-to-Market Specialist, where he monitored the implementation of the school feeding program in the Koundara region.

Abdelbari’s academic credentials are equally impressive.

He graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as a Chevening Scholar with a Master of Science in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies (IDHE) in December 2022.

During his master’s programme, Abdelbari and his team conducted a comprehensive multi-sectoral evaluation of Save the Children US's operations in Venezuela from 2020 to 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus (UNMC), which he completed in 2017.
