Lim Chern Q’uan, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM), graduated in 2018 with a degree in Economics and International Economics.
Today, he holds the position of Manager at the Securities Commission Malaysia, where he has been making significant strides since joining the organisation in 2021 as a Senior Executive in Debt Capital Markets.
Q’uan’s decision to specialise in Economics and International Economics has profoundly enhanced his analytical and critical thinking abilities.
These skills have been instrumental in his role as a regulator, enabling him to effectively navigate the complexities of the financial sector at the Securities Commission Malaysia. His academic background has undoubtedly laid a solid foundation for his successful career in finance.
“Studying at an international university like University of Nottingham Malaysia has exposed me to a global setting and given me the opportunity to interact with students from different countries and backgrounds,” said Q’uan.
“The networking opportunities provided by various clubs and societies available in the university allow students to network and build connections with fellow students, alumni, and industry professionals.”
