Postgraduate Student Teachers
The
Postgraduate Student Teachers (PST) programme fulfills the University of Nottingham
policy on students who teach. To subscribe, kindly follow these
guidelines.
The PST programme consists of face-to-face seminars as well as online courses that you can complete or use as an information resource in your own time. There are seven face-to-face courses, two of which are compulsory and five optional.
In-line with supporting your professional development, all courses are aligned to the
Professional Standard of Framework (PSF) areas of activity,
core knowledge and
professional values. The PSF is designed specifically for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.
The Professional Standards Framework is a nationally-recognised framework for benchmarking success within higher education (HE) teaching and learning support, governed by Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Higher Education Academy (HEA) is the national body which champions teaching excellence.
