Molly who had graduated with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 2011 from UNMC, developed and managed the company’s values to bring about social and environmental change in Malaysia, including her promotion of the Stop Violence Against Women campaign, in collaboration with Women’s Aid Organisation, a campaign that raised awareness and funds on domestic violence.
Molly spoke about gender equality at the Conference and mentioned that cultural constraints – such as the media and celebrities – shape gender stereotypes and sexism in society. However, she urged women to remove all ‘excuses’ in life and be committed to achieving professional success.
The final session of the conference was an open discussion and Molly highlighted that the key issue for women today is to break the glass ceiling and advised the young people to take more interest in activism.
