University of Nottingham Malaysia organised alumni reunions for graduates of the University from the Nottingham campuses, in Malaysia, China and the United Kingdom. Two reunions were hosted in Accra, Ghana and Nigeria respectively.

A leading chemical engineer at the University of Nottingham Malaysia has been named among the 2018 Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM). The Prime Minister of Malaysia will present the prestigious award at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on 1 November.
