National Chemical Engineering Symposium 2016
National Chemical Engineering Symposium (NACES) is an annual, national-level event organised by Chemical Engineering Student Society of Universities in Malaysia, in collaboration with Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Malaysia.
NACES 2016 will be held at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus (UNMC). This event will be organised by UNMC’s Instituition of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Student Chapter, Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, UNMC and IChemE Malaysia.

Date: 9- 11 of September 2016
Venue: The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus
Fees: RM 300 per participant
With the theme ‘X-Solution: Food-Water-Energy Nexus’, NACES 2016 will incorporate seven major technical sessions:
1. Technical Essay Writing
2. Technical Case Study
3. Technical PowerPoint Presentation
4. Technical Debate Competition
5. Technical Video Presentation
6. Chemical Engineering Challenge
7. Process Plant Design.
The symposium serves as a platform for young elites to show case their technical knowledge, creative thinking and effective communication skills in generating innovative solutions for global development issues and challenges aligning with the theme. Meanwhile, NACES 2016 promotes the significance of professional engineering practices and awareness in sustainable energy supplies, food and nutrition as well as access to clean water, three areas where chemical engineering can make a positive impact.
