NottinghamHub (general)
What is NottinghamHub?
NottinghamHub (Campus Solutions) is the university’s applicant and student administration system.
- Staff use this system to administer student records
- Students use this system to complete registration, enroll onto modules, update their details and pay university fees
- Applicants use this system to apply to study courses
What main functionalities are available in NottinghamHub?
The range of available services is tailored to the individual experience of each user. Students can manage their financial accounts, view academic information, access support, manage personal details and interact with their tutors and supervisors through the system. Links are also provided to other key information such as timetables, Blue Castle and Moodle.
I need help with the university terminology.
I have tried to login but the 'blue wheel' keeps spinning. Why is this?
You may need to clear your cache, a collection of data that your web browser has collected and stored, which could be slowing down your loading time.

After completing the appropriate steps for your browser, try to log in again. If you are still experiencing problems, please raise a support ticket via IT Service Desk.
How do I change my personal details?
Click on the ‘Profile’ tile and you will be able to update your Contact Details, Addresses and Emergency Contacts by navigating to the appropriate menu.
How do I change my password?
For staff and students, you may change your password via the IT Accounts portal. Please take note that this will also change your password for other systems and services like your email, Moodle, etc.
If you are still experiencing problems, please raise a support ticket via
IT Service Desk.
Does this site have accessibility options?
We hope that the site is accessible for all users but if you encounter particular issues, please contact the
IT Service Desk for support on how to carry out the action and report the accessibility issue so that we can make relevant improvements.
How do I change my University photo?
Please contact the
Security Office if you would like to change your student photo.
What kind of University support can I access through NottinghamHub?
You can request Disability Support, Financial Support, a Change in Study Plan and a range of other assistance. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Help’ tile. If you have a technical issue, please email the
IT Service Desk.
I cannot login to the NottinghamHub portal. What should I do?
Students will log in to the NottinghamHub portal with their IT username and password (the same one you use to log in to your University email and Moodle. If you cannot remember your password, please raise a support ticket via
IT Service Desk.
What device can I use to access NottinghamHub?
As a browser-based system, NottinghamHub can be accessed from any location across a variety of devices, 24hrs a day. However, the NottinghamHub portal is best viewed on a desktop computer or laptop.
Finance
How do I add and edit my bank details?
Please take a look at the Managing Bank Account Details video for guidance on adding and editing your bank details.
How do I pay my tuition fee deposit?
To pay your Course Deposit, in NottinghamHub:
- click the ‘Finance’ tile button. You will see any outstanding Course Deposits in the Finance Information section
- click Pay amount due to pay the course deposit, entering the amount in the Payment Amount column next to the description.
- click Next to proceed and continue to make the payment.

How do i make a payment?
Payments can be made via the 'Pay amount due' button in NottinghamHub. Please take a look at the How to make a payment user guide. Remember to click which charges you wish to pay. Please see the website for further information about paying your fees, accommodation including other charges.
How do I make advance payment in NottinghamHub?
To make an advance payment online:
- click on the ‘Finance’ tile button to access the Finance tab
- click on the Pay amount due button,
- click Select Campus to Pay. You will see an Online Deposit Malaysia option
- enter any amount on the Payment Amount column besides the description
- click Next to proceed and continue to make a payment.
Advance payments will be allocated against the next charges on your account (whether they are tuition fees, accommodation fees or other charges). To make an advance payment in person, please contact the Finance-Office@nottingham.edu.my

How do I make an optional purchase?
To make an optional purchase online, you can log in to NottinghamHub:
- click on the ‘Finance’ tile button to access the Finance tab
- click on the Optional Purchases button,
- select the item type you want purchases
- confirm the amount and confirm order
- click Next to proceed and continue to make a payment.

How do I request a refund?
I do not understand some of the transactions on my NottinghamHub account. Please explain more.
Please note that charges and discounts are raised as other processes are completed, such as activation of your record for the academic year, quarterly billing of accommodation and enrolment in modules. These scenarios are explained in the guide.

I have scholarship or sponsorship. Where will I find information on scholarship or sponsorship in NottinghamHub?
By clicking into your
Account history you can see how aid affects amounts due. Please note that aid may impact the amount due per semester in the system. If you are unsure of how to settle your account, please contact the
Finance Office
I have made an advance payment. How will this be allocated against future charges?
Payments made in advance are allocated by the system automatically against the next charges raised. For example, if you pay up front for the year and the next charge raised is for accommodation, the system will use the advanced payment to pay the accommodation charges.

What transactions are visible in NottinghamHub?
All transactions since 1 January are available to view in NottinghamHub. This covers tuition fees, accommodation charges and other charges, as well as payments made and any refunds.
If a transaction does not show up immediately, please allow some time for this to be processed and verified by staff before it is visible in the system.
Where can I find information on scholarships and other financial assistance?
Where can I find my official receipt in NottinghamHub?
To view your official receipt online, kindly log in to NottinghamHub:
- click on the Finance Tile button to access the Finance tab
- click on the Payment History button,
- you will see all the official receipt
- please click the PRINT RECEIPT button if you wish to print out the official receipt.

Registration
I am returning for my second, third or fourth year. Do I need to register?
Yes, you will need to complete online registration in each year of your studies with the university. Instructions for registering online will be emailed to you, or more information is available on the
University website.
How do I register online with the University?
Online registration is an essential part of the registration process, which confirms your attendance for the start of a session and includes other steps required before you begin your studies.
Please follow the instructions in your email entitled
Subject: Invite to Online Registration. You may need to check your Junk emails or Clutter. You will need to log in using your university username in order to complete Online Registration and click the banner in NottinghamHub. Further information is available on the
University website.
How do I download a copy of my offer letter?
To view the Offer Letter in myNottingham:
- click the ‘Documents’ tile
- click on the relevant folder in Categories of Documents and 'Offer Letter' will be listed in the table below it
- click the Offer Letter hyperlink and a new tab will be opened displaying your offer letter
- click on the download icon to download the offer letter
I am a current student but I want to apply for another course. How do i do this in NottinghamHub?
Click on the ‘Apply’ tile and you will see ‘Apply for a course’ menu. You can start filling-up the new application form on the page. Navigate to the ‘Find a course Malaysia’ menu to view available programmes.
I am a mobility student incoming to Malaysia. Do I receive a new student ID number, student card and email address?
Your student ID number and username will remain the same. You will be given a new email address in the following format:
username@nottingham.edu.my which you will use throughout your studies at the Malaysia Campus. Your current student ID card will be used at the Malaysia campus so
please remember to bring your student ID card to Malaysia.
Your records and studies
Where do I find my student ID number?
To view your student ID number, log into NottinghamHub and click on ‘Profile’ tile. You will see your student ID number in the top left corner.
How do I view my timetable?
In NottinghamHub, click the
'Modules (courses)’ tile. Proceed to click on the ‘Timetable Malaysia’ menu and this will open the
Timetabling webpage.
How do I make my module (course) choices?
You will receive an email when you can start making choices. Please contact your respective schools to complete the module choices. You should discuss choices with your personal tutor and/or programme director before they are submitted.

When can I choose my modules (courses)?
You can make your choices during the Change of Mind period in first two weeks of classes for each intake. At the start of the second semester, there is also an opportunity to change module (course) choices.
When will my exam timetable be published?
Your exam timetable will be published at least a month before the start of the examination period. You will receive an email when the timetable is available.

Where can I see my grades and exam results?
Marks, progression and award details are currently accessed through the
Blue Castle system.
How do I apply for overseas exams?
Please see the overseas examinations arrangements section of the
examinations webpage for further information.
How do i request a document (for example confirmation letters and transcripts)?
You can do this via the ‘Help’ tile in NottinghamHub. Click on the 'Help' tile and select the ‘Official Document’ under the Support Type list. Select the document which you wish to request and click the ‘Submit’ button. A member of the Student Registry team will be in contact within three working days of you submitting the request.
How do I self-refer an academic misconduct case?
How do I submit an Extenuating Circumstances claim?
You can do this via the ‘Help’ tile in NottinghamHub. Click on the 'Help' tile and select the ‘Extenuating Circumstances’ under the Support Type list. Click the appropriate option in the 'Support sub-type' menu. Complete the Summary and Details section, providing as much information as you can to support your request. Click the ‘Submit’ button to submit the request. You can also use self-service PCs at faculty offices, or dial-in when this is not possible.
Where can I find my personal tutor's details?
Click the 'My Tutors' tile and see the 'My Associated Staff' section.
What if I want to speak to someone about an issue or query in person?
You can drop into your
Faculty Office or the
Student Services Centre. More information on the range of services available can be found on the
university website.
Postgraduate research (additional information)
Where can I view information relating to my Postgraduate Research Programme in NottinghamHub?
To view information relating to your Postgraduate Research programme, log into NottinghamHub and click on the ‘Research’ tile. This will display details of your supervisors, research topic, duration of your study and other relevant menus.
How can I view notes from my tutor or supervision meetings, and interact with personal tutor or PhD supervisor?
Click the ‘My supervisors’ tile and select the ‘Advising notes’ menu. You will be able to view notes from your tutor/supervisors on the page.
What does the ‘Student milestones’ tile mean?
Milestones show steps you need to complete each year as part of your studies, typically periodic reviews with your supervisor. Milestones may require that you take action, for example uploading documentary evidence from a review meeting, and contain an indicative due date. When milestones are completed, the status will be marked by your supervisor or a member of administrative staff and show as 'Completed' in NottinghamHub.
To view Milestones in NottinghamHub, please click on the ‘Student Milestones’ tile. For questions about a specific milestone or action, please contact your supervisor.
Document uploads (general)
I have a notification stating that I need to upload a document or complete a task. I have done this, but the notification is still there. Why is this?
After uploading the document needed to complete a task, the document still needs to be processed and verified by a staff member. Once this happens, the notification will disappear.
How do I upload a document in NottinghamHub?
On the Student Home dashboard, click on the ‘Documents’ tile and follow the instructions to upload documents such as scholarship letters or other supporting evidence. Click on the relevant folder in Categories of Documents before uploading your documents.
I have uploaded the wrong document, how do I take it down/delete it?
You have 30 minutes to take down the document and replace it with an alternative version. If it has been longer than this, then please upload the correct document and contact the
IT Service Desk.
Graduation
How do I register for graduation and buy tickets for the ceremony?
When the registration for graduation is open, you will receive an email from the Graduation office with instructions. Log into NottinghamHub and click on the link available on the
‘Graduation’ tile. If you do not see a link, please email the Graduation office. Please see the
Graduation webpage for further details.
How do I defer my graduation to a later ceremony?
After clicking on the link available on the
‘Graduation’ tile, you will see the Graduation Registration form. You can select the ‘No, I wish to defer option’ to defer to the next main ceremony. You will not receive your official certificate and Diploma Supplement until your next main ceremony. Please see the

Where can I get more information about graduation inter-ceremonies?
There are 'inter-ceremonies' in March and October each year. These small ceremonies have been set up for students who require their awards before the next main ceremony. Please see the
