Senior Executive, Student Recruitment (Domestic)

We are seeking suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Executive position in Student Recruitment (Domestic) at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). The role holder will be responsible for achieving domestic student enrolment targets for the assigned markets within Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive student engagement and recruitment initiatives to achieve or exceed enrolment targets,adapting as needed based on the university’s priorities.
  • Implement effective recruitment strategies to attract prospective students and support the organisation of Open Days, Info Days, and Application Days.
  • Provide training and support to appointed representatives and partners, ensuring they are equipped with up-to-date knowledge about the university’s programmes and key developments.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with student recruitment agents to effectively promote UNM.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with high schools and higher education institutions to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events within assigned regions and provide cross-regional support during peak periods.
  • Deliver presentations on studying at UNM at education fairs, schools, universities, and other institutions, covering admissions, course selection, and student life.
  • Collaborate and maintain good relationship with internal departments, including Admissions, Finance, Student Registry, Accommodation, Career Advisory Services, Student Association, and Faculties, to provide comprehensive support and information.
  • Mentor and coach junior executives, fostering their development in recruitment knowledge and skills.
  • Identify and train student ambassadors to support recruitment activities effectively.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Deputy Head (Domestic).

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least two to three years’ experience in domestic student recruitment for a higher educational institution.
  • Possess effective communication skills and a strong written and spoken command in English. Proficiency in other languages would provide a significant advantage.
  • Excellent negotiating and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at different levels including strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to provide supervision and direction to administrative staff as well as student ambassadors.
  • Highly motivated, independent, results oriented and a great team player.
  • Willing to travel and work beyond normal working days and hours.
