Inter-campus exchange

About

Students who are studying at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) can apply to study at our overseas campuses in China and the UK for a period of one semester or one academic year through the Inter-campus Exchange Programme.

To be eligible to apply to the programme:

• students must have completed at least one year of their degree study (Undergraduate - UG) at the UNM.
• students have to obtain a passing mark of minimum 55%-70% (depending to courses) in order to apply onto the exchange scheme. The first semester result will be used for the exchange application. Students need to maintain their current year average of 55%-70% in their second semester result in order to progress for the exchange programme. Failure to maintain will result in cancellation of the progress for the exchange. 
• no students taking resits are permitted to progress onto the exchange scheme.
• students studying for an undergraduate degree programme which is also offered at either the China Campus or the UK Campus.
• Students from the same nationality as the host campus, are not eligible/qualify to apply for the exchange programme. These students can apply to other host campus as long as not to their home country. For example; British nationality cannot apply to go for the exchange to UK Campus or Chinese China nationality cannot apply to go for the exchange to Ningbo Campus.

Before you apply

Choosing to study abroad is a big decision, before you take the plunge, here are a few things you should do:

• attend the exchange programme information session.
• consider your exchange options, please refer to study abroad opportunities by school.
• research the university/campus that you intend to go for exchange by finding out about courses offered, fees, English language requirements etc.
• discuss with your parents/guardian about funding your study abroad.
• consult the School Exchange Coordinator for the module selections at the host university or any academic enquiries. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that there are suitable modules for their degree programmes at the host university. 
• Please take note that there are limited quotas for Engineering, Business School & selected schools in Faculty of Science. Quota will be determined by the host campus and subject to change on yearly basis.
