Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
1. The Nottingham Business School (NUBS)
Businesses today are in very dynamic environments - and one place where they get money to do business is the stock market. So what is investments and stock trading? Have you ever wondered what investors actually do? Find out more about how financial markets function and learn about the stock trading process via a financial trading room at Nottingham University Business School Malaysia (NUBS). The trading room at NUBS will give you real-life exposure to the discipline of investment analysis using trading simulation software. And did you think businesses are there to make profits ? They are also also are involved in social and community. NUBS faculty will introduce you to how businesses involve in social and environment development while doing their business profitably.
2. The Centre for English Language and Foundation Education (CELFE)
Problems and disagreements are part and parcel of life, and should be seen as a source of enrichment, not misery. Confidence in one’s own problem solving and argumentation skills boosts one’s employability. However, problem solving and articulating strong arguments are skills that need to be sharpened with exposure and practice. Learn how to analyse problems and select the best solutions, and discover techniques for wining arguments through fun activities run by CELFE tutors.
Faculty of Engineering
Learn and think as an engineer for creating a better environment towards sustainability. The interactive hand-on activities organised by various disciplines of engineering will enhance your physics fundamental and inspire your career prospects. You will experience the challenges encountered by engineers and how to overcome the situation with proper design approaches.
Faculty of Science
You will get the chance to learn about the research activities within our faculty and see our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. You will also get to take part in some hands-on demonstrations, which could include:
- Biomedical Sciences: look at disease under a microscope
- Computer Science: explore how to create your own app
- Psychology: peek into psychology and learn how our mind can play tricks on us and many other types of scientific activities and demonstrations.
Social and cultural programme
As well as giving you a taste of the most up-to date teaching and research, the programme offers activities which will take you away from the classroom. These activities will give you the chance to spend time with fellow students while exploring the local area. Activities include:
Tour of Kuala Lumpur
Taking in Putrajaya and the areas surrounding Kuala Lumpur and there will be a photo session in the city centre.
Shopping trip
Visit some of the major shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur as well as the night markets around town.

• High school students Year 11 and above (16 to 17 years of age)
• From Malaysia or international school abroad
• IELTS 5.5 or * Other English language certificates will be considered
Programme Fee and Payment Methods
Programme Fee
The seven-day programme will cost MYR2,500.00 per applicant. *An early bird discount of MYR200 (MYR2,300 after discount) will be given if the fee is paid by 30th May 2023.
The cost includes:
- all tuition and classroom support costs
- accommodation on campus for the duration of the programme
- cultural and social programme
- most meals are included in the package
The cost does not include:
- return ticket to Malaysia
- Meals during trips
- accommodation and transportation for additional stay/excursions
- insurance (International students will need to sort out their own travel insurance before leaving their country)

Airport Pick-Up
Please fill in the online Arrival Information Form which is to be submitted at least seven (7) working days before your arrival in Malaysia. This is to assist international students upon their arrival at UNM.
A free airport pick-up/send off service will be available from :

Arrival : 31 July 2023 (Monday) at 12pm only (*subject to change)
Waiting point will be : BURGER KING - Outside of the Arrival Hall, on your left
Campus to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) :
Departure : 07 August 2023 (Monday) at 12.30pm only (*subject to change)
Please let us know in advance if you wish to take advantage of this service, and please manage your booking and arrival/departure to fit this time.
Those arriving at KLIA 2, please take the Express train to KLIA, if you would like to take our free airport pick up.
Should you choose to travel on your own, you will need to pay for any costs incurred yourself. There will be no reimbursement for transportation cost.

Programme Cancellation
The University of Nottingham reserves the right to cancel the event up to a minimum of 10 days before the start date without indemnity. If your course is cancelled by The University of Nottingham, your deposit or full payment will be refunded.
Refund Policy
Full fee will be refunded if the cancellation is made 3 weeks before the event. No refund is available later than that and the fee will be brought forward to the next year summer programme.
