Renewals

You can renew your library books by either

1. returning and re-borrowing the book(s) using the self-service machine; or
2. by renewing them online through your library web account.

You can renew your books as long as:

• the books are not reserved by anyone else
• they are not overdue
• you haven’t accrued fines of RM20 or more in your Library user account
• you have not exceeded the maximum of three consecutive renewals

To renew your books online, go to NUsearch and:

1. Click on My Loans. 
2. Click on the Renew button.
3. Make a note of the new due date for each item you have renewed. You are allowed to renew item(s) three times online.

Please note that short loan items cannot be renewed online. Short loan items must be returned at the Customer Services Counter and be reissued. For more details, please go to the Short Loans section.

If a renewal has been unsuccessful, there will be a message on screen explaining why. Common reasons for non-renewal are: You have overdue items on your record or Item has holds. Patron is not the first in hold queue.

If you are unable to renew any of your loans, please return the items or email libraryservices@nottingham.edu.my.
