Bookable rooms
Several types of bookable rooms are available for use:
- Meeting rooms
- Postgraduate individual study rooms
- Multimedia room.
1. Meeting rooms

* Devices for the LCD TV (remote control for LCD TV, keyboard, USB toggle and mouse) may be borrowed from the Customer Service Counter at Level B. Please note that there is no booking for these devices. The loan period for these devices is two hours, and no renewals are allowed. A fine of RM10 per hour, or part of, will be imposed for late return of the LCD TV devices.

Please note that there is no booking for these devices. The loan period for these devices is three hours, and no renewals are allowed. A fine of RM10 per hour, or part of, will be imposed for late return of the LCD TV devices.
2. Postgraduate individual study rooms
Postgraduate individual study rooms are meant for postgraduate students (PGs) only.
PGs can make online bookings for a study room for up to three hours per session.

3. Multimedia room
The Multimedia room is located on Level D (3rd floor) at GD15. The maximum occupancy for this room is four (4) students at any one time.
The room is equipped with six terminals:
- Four multimedia-viewing terminals (standalone PCs to facilitate individual viewing of DVDs)
- One video-editing terminals (workstations with dual monitors for video editing and installed with Pinnacle Studio Ultimate collection v. 15 and Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium)
Use of terminals is strictly limited to library materials or items assigned by academic faculty.
Students are allowed to book only one terminal in their name at any one session. An online booking for a terminal can be made for up to three hours per session.
Entry into the multimedia room is via an access card which can be obtained at the Customer Services Counter. Please use the headphones provided to keep the noise level down.
Before leaving the terminal you used, please ensure that it is clean and no personal belongings are left behind. If you are the last person to leave the multimedia room, please make sure that the lights are switched off and that the door is closed.
Renewals
No renewals are allowed for meeting-room bookings.
General rules & regulations
- Bookings can be made online by going to NUsearch and clicking on Room bookings. You can also book a room or terminal at the Customer Services Counter by producing your University ID card
- You will also need your University ID card to collect the correct bookable room key or access card.
- Depending on availability, a booking can be made up to 24 hours in advance (including weekends).
- A penalty of RM50 will be charged for a lost bookable room key or lost access card. A fine of RM5 per hour, or part of, will be imposed for late return of the bookable room key or access card. The patron who booked the room/terminal will be responsible for the key.
- Students who made any prior booking are requested to notify the library staff at the Customer Service counter of any cancellations on their part at the earliest time possible. The room/terminal will be released to another patron if the student fails to turn up after 15 minutes from the booking time.
- The library reserves the right to cancel any booking for the bookable rooms/terminals. If cancellations are necessary, the student who made the booking will be notified as soon as possible via email or by phone.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in bookable rooms.
- Be considerate; keep the rooms clean and tidy.
- Do not keep any library materials in the bookable rooms that have not been checked out; this includes in-house use materials such as reference books, journals and newspapers. The Library has the right to remove any library materials that are found in these rooms.
- The library is not responsible for equipment, supplies or other items owned by a group, or individual, and used in the bookable room. All such items must be removed from the bookable room at the end of the time for which they are used.
- Do not leave valuables in the rooms, even temporarily. The Library will not be responsible for any lost property.
- Respect the facilities and do not move any furniture into or out of the room.
- Report any damage or disorder of furniture or fixtures immediately.
- Before leaving a bookable room, make sure the room is clean, the lights switched off, and the door locked.
