Announcement: Library System Upgrade in April 2019

The Library is entering the final phase of migrating to a new library online system to enhance user experience in our libraries across all three campuses.

We would like to give you early notice of some changes to our services in April 2019.

1. UNMCLOC (University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus Library Online Catalogue) will no longer be active, starting from 12 April 2019. You will be able to access the library catalogue via NUsearch (https://nusearch.nottingham.edu.my).
   NUsearch contains everything found in UNMCLOC, and much more, including ebooks, journal articles and research outputs from the University of Nottingham.
2. Due to this major upgrade, we will lose access to personal data stored on the current library system from 15 April 2019.
   This includes:
   - My Favourites
   - Loans History
   - Inter-library loans history
   - Saved search alerts
   - Saved searches

If you are planning on using this information – whether it’s for quick reference, or to build up your bibliographies – you will need to take the following action:

• My Favourites – you can export this by clicking on the three dots next to the record and following the instructions. We have put together a step by step guide, which attached to this email and can be viewed on our website.
• Loans History – take screen shots or save the items to My Favourites and export. Further instructions are here.
• Inter-library loans history – further instructions on how to save your inter-library loans history are here.
• Saved alerts/searches – Click on the saved search to re-run it. You will open up the search and allow you to see what filters you have applied. Take screen shots or see further instruction here.
