A workshop entitled “Decarbonisation for Industrial Processes” was organised by Centre of Excellence for Green Technologies (CEGT) at Impiana KLCC Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 29-30 July 2022. In this workshop, various industrial decarbonisation techniques were delivered, aiming to assist industrial practitioners in formulating strategies to reduce CO2 emission from their industrial processes. A total of 14 participants attended the workshop, who are engineers and managers from 8 companies in palm oil, oil & gas, petrochemicals, plastic and synthetic rubber, who are keen to pursue sustainability agenda in their daily operations.
The workshop is part of the COP26 Trilateral Research Initiative sponsored by British Council Japan (see here for more info). The trilateral research initiatives involve collaborations among university academics and practitioners based at Malaysia (UNM), United Kingdom (University of Surrey, Aria Sustainability), Japan (University of Tokyo), and the Philippines (De La Salle University).
