Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position based within the School of Psychology. The position is for 9 months, with the possibility of extension for up to 1 year. Applicants must possess a 1st or upper 2nd class degree or Masters in a relevant subject, an appropriate English Language qualification and evidence of an aptitude for research.
The successful candidate will be involved in a research project investigating how to enhance cognition in healthy adolescents and will involve EEG and behavioural tasks. The candidate will be based at the School of Psychology Cognitive & Sensory Systems Research Laboratory at UNMC. Skills in experimental psychology and statistical methods are essential. Experience in using EEG technology will be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist academic staff with data collection, analysis of results, and writing up research summaries. Candidates are also expected to meet the following requirements:
- Possess excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess the ability to work independently, proactively, resourcefully and be self-motivated.
