New Research Project to Investigate the Effects of Exercise on Appearance

Dr Ian Stephen has been awarded a Faculty of Science Pump Priming grant to investigate the effects of exercise on physical appearance.

Dr Stephen said, "we know that exercise changes the shape of the body, toning muscles and helping weight loss. In this project, we will use 3D imaging to model the changes that occur in the face and body when we exercise. The technology that we will develop will also have the potential to demonstrate to individuals the effects that they can expect from undertaking exercise or other healthy behaviours."
