Professor Trevor Parfitt, on behalf of the School of Politics, History, and International Relations, welcomed Professor William Case as the new Head of School last week. Professor Case joins PHIR from City University of Hong Kong. His regional research focus is Southeast Asia, and his highly distinguished publishing record includes work on Malaysian politics, comparative politics, political economy, and other areas. Professor Parfitt will continue as Deputy Head of School, as well as Convenor of the Master of Science in International Development Management.
