PHIR Master's students visit the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations

Students and staff from PHIR’s MA-IR programme recently visited the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Kuala Lumpur, to attend a conference entitled Cultural Diplomacy: Searching for ASEAN Common Values.

The students, some of whom are on exchange from Nottingham’s UK campus, have all opted to study the International Relations of Southeast Asia as one of their elective modules.



As well as benefiting from the expertise of the panel speakers, they also appreciated the opportunity to meet Mr Mohd Suhaimi bin Jaafar and Mr Mohd Suhaimi bin Ahmad Tajuddin, both graduates of the MA-IR programme and diplomats with the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
