The forum provided a platform for students from universities in Malaysia to develop their leadership skills through project based learning and an opportunity to network and learn from key industry leaders.

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) partnered with Common Purpose, a UK based charity responsible to provide development opportunities for people in work and society, to host its inaugural student leadership development programme in Malaysia

Among the speakers include Datuk Nadzri Yahaya, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia; H.E. Vicky Marguerite Treadell CMG MVO, British High Commissioner to Malaysia; Professor Christine Ennew, CEO & Provost of UNMC, Prakash Chandran, President & CEO, Siemens Malaysia and other industry leaders.

The 4 day forum hosted students from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Taylor’s University, Help University, UCSI University and UNMC.

"We focus a great deal on the range of skills and capabilities which students develop as truly global citizens. I personally spent some time with the participants and was truly impressed on the breath of their newly acquired knowledge and skills in this short span of time.

This programme offered an exciting and insightful experience to the undergraduate students from universities across Malaysia" said Professor Christine Ennew, CEO and Provost of UNMC.

After attending this programme students are able to develop leadership skills to help influence the world and also they would be able to play their part in addressing some of the issues faced by society, government and businesses today," Professor Ennew added.
