The global accreditation organisation the Association of MBAs (AMBA) has confirmed re-accreditation of all Nottingham University Business School's MBA programmes offered in the UK, Malaysia, and Singapore for another five years.
AMBA accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and is earned only by the best programmes.
Five years is the maximum accreditation AMBA can award. The report from the AMBA peer review team was very positive and included a number of commendations including the diversity of Nottingham's MBA cohorts, the revision of the MBA curriculum to include an overt international focus, and the enthusiasm of students and staff.
“The reputable AMBA accreditation is an indication of the top quality of MBA education potential students can expect,” said Professor Khong Kok Wei, Director of the MBA Programme at Nottingham University Business School Malaysia. “Also, our MBA graduates can be assured that they will be recognised as top talents to employers.”
To qualify for the AMBA accreditation, schools are assessed for quality academic research, administrative support, resources and facilities, faculty size, admissions procedure, quality of student body. Design and content of the MBA curriculum, structure, duration and delivery is also considered in the assessment.
"This accreditation shows the confidence AMBA has in our MBA programme, and the high standards set by AMBA are reflected in our MBA programmes in Malaysia and Singapore," says Professor Lee Chew Ging, Dean of Nottingham University Business School Malaysia.
