In the latest international league table of full-time Master of Business Administration programmes, Nottingham University Business School has risen 12 places to 74th globally. In rankings just published by The Economist, Nottingham University Business School has been placed in the top 100 – against tough competition from North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The School appears on the list with some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including Harvard, London Business School, and INSEAD.
The Economist 2013 Top 100 MBA ranking rates business schools against each other in terms of:
• Opening new career opportunities and/or furthering current careers of graduates
• Personal development
• Increasing salary
• Offering the potential to network
Dr. Lau Chee Kwong, Director of MBA Programme, Nottingham University Business School at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, said: “This advancement in the 2013 Economist MBA rankings reflects the School’s commitments in continual quality improvement and the provision of quality education in our MBA programme, which is already endorsed by our AMBA and EQUIS accreditations.
We have focused on ensuring our students are well equipped with skills set needed for business and management so that they can be effective in their careers. Increasing business engagement and industrial exposure through the School’s Industrial Advisory Board, together with a wide variety of senior business leader speaker series and live case studies, prepares our students for major challenges and opportunities they will come across in the future.”
“More importantly, we have integrated the element of business sustainability to the major modules offered in our MBA programmes. Know-how in business sustainability gives our students a competitive advantage,” Dr. Lau said.
The Economist rankings focus on the student experience and the Nottingham MBA provides excellent preparation for senior management challenges. The Economist ranking is distinctive for being the most "student-centric" of all the MBA rankings because it claims to measure the way business schools meet the demands that students have of an MBA programme.
Nottingham’s full-time MBA includes specialist MBAs in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Corporate Social Responsibility. UNMC is currently recruiting students for the February 2014 intake.
