MBA Study Tour

Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) Malaysia, recently hosted students from International University, Vietnam National University (IU-VNU), Ho Chi Minh City, for a study tour from December 9 to 17, 2011.

Professor Lee Chew Ging , Director of Studies of NUBS, hosted the 22  Master of Business Administration (MBA) students delegation which was led by Dr. Phan Trien Anh, Associate Dean of the School of Business at IU-VNU.

“Visits such as this are important to us, especially since IU-VNU is one of our strategic partners in Southeast Asia and through this partnership we are able to offer an internationalisation experience to our students.

“We receive students from IU-VNU through student exchange and transfer progammes and our students benefit from learning business practices which are prevalent in Vietnam from their Vietnamese peers,” Professor Lee said.

This visit is the second by MBA students from IU-VNU, the first group visited UNMC for a week in December 2010.

“This year, we planned out a week long educational as well as a tourist agenda for the students. NUBS academics presented several short courses including: Managing People by Matthew Abraham and A Socioeconomic Preview of Malaysia by Vanitha Ponnusamy.

Their itinerary also included a visit to Putrajaya, the country’s federal administrative capital, and Genting Highlands.
