Mechanical Engineering ranks second in the UK

With an outstanding score of 98.8% The University of Nottingham's Department of Mechanical Engineering has clinched the second ranked position in The Guardian's 2012 University Guide.

"Engineering is one of the founding courses at the Malaysia campus and it has been consistently popular with students and employers alike,” said Professor Ian Pashby, CEO & Provost at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. He added that, “This latest ranking is another feather in our cap after having recently won the top ranked School of Pharmacy in the 2012 Complete University Guide."

According to Dr. Andrew Spowage, Director of Studies for the Department of  Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering at the Malaysia Campus, "Graduate mechanical engineers are very much in demand both in Malaysia and internationally. Our graduates have a wide range of exciting job opportunities across all industrial sectors. The majority of our graduates have been successful in securing employment in their chosen fields right after their graduation."
