Dr Christopher Hill recently addressed an enthusiastic audience in Kuala Lumpur at the International Skills Conference 2012 'Transforming the Skills Workforce towards a Higher Income Economy', organised by the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI). Dr Hill, a founding member of the Knowledge Without Borders Network and Director of the Graduate School at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, spoke about 'Capacity Building in South East Asia', as part of the Innovative and Sustainable Projects element of the conference.
The two-day conference brings together various local and international skills education and industry stakeholders, to support the Malaysian Government’s drive to develop vocational skills education and industry. The aim of the conference is to raise awareness and provide a forum for academia, industry, the public, and the private sector to discuss global developments in the skills arena.
NAPEI was established in 1987 and represents all levels of private educational institutions in Malaysia. It aims to enhance the quality of education in the private sector in Malaysia and position Malaysia as a centre of educational excellence. View the conference programme
