Biography

BA (Hons) English and English Language Teaching, The Open University of Sri Lanka; MA in English Language and Literature, University of Nottingham Malaysia; PhD in English, University of Nottingham Malaysia.

My research primarily centres around portrayals of gender in literature, with a focus on female victimhood, violence and agency. I have published and presented papers on how gender is portrayed in domestic noir, a newer subgenre of crime fiction.
