The School of Education held two summer school programmes on August 3-7, 2015. The Managing Challenging Behaviours in the Classroom programme was delivered by Dr Alefiya Nomanbhoy and Dr Tida Tubpun. It aimed to provide professionals within the education field research-informed knowledge and skills to manage emotional and behavioural issues at the school, classroom and individual levels. The Leadership in the Changing Landscape programme, delivered by Dr Ashley Ng, aimed to equip school and educational leaders skills with in leading learning and decision-making as well as strategies to tackle challenges in the educational landscape and to make effective changes in the classroom. The programmes were well attended, with participants from Gateway Institute and Methodist College from Sri Lanka, and Sathya Sai School from Malaysia. The programmes provided a platform for educators from Sri Lanka and Malaysia to discuss, share, and expand their knowledge in the scope of education.
