Current student awarded the Jan-Atkin Prize

Current Year 1 student, Joyce Lim Wei Ying is awarded the Jan-Atkin Prize for her outstanding leadership to the university community.

The Head of School, Dr Wing Leong Teo who nominates the student says, "Congratulations to Joyce for being recognised for her contributions. It is remarkable that she has taken up major leadership roles in student societies and spearheaded impactful projects while still being a first year student. It is a testimony to the immense talents of our students."  

Delighted, Joyce says, "Frankly speaking, it has never crossed my mind that having all my time invested in extra activities would result in anything in return. But I'm glad to know that the effort is appreciated by the university and I hope this scholarship will encourage other students as well."
