Membership & involvement

We want YOU! ECRN is a network, and networks rely on all of their members - not just those 'at the top'. We try and keep things as egalitarian and inclusive as possible - because we think that's the right kind of environment for nurturing and enthusing a research community.

Who should get involved?

  • Part & full-time MA & MSc students
  • PhD students
  • Post-doctoral researchers
  • Early career academics from any school or faculty
  • Established academics interested in supporting and mentoring students and colleagues
  • Pretty much anyone who's interested! We're all about inclusion, and providing a space within which the UNMC research community can grow! 

How do you get involved?

  • Stay connected with what's going on via our Events feed and Facebook page.
  • Find out about our previous events to get a taste of what we're all about!
  • Volunteer to participate in ECRN seminars via presenting short (15 minute) research talks on theory, concepts, research methods, analytical approaches, findings among other themes. (Download our rolling CFP for more details)
  • Communicate your training and support needs to the steering group members for planning and timetabling.
  • Conduct/attend training workshops on research proposal and thesis writing, technical expertise, career and professional development and research techniques.
  • Got a new idea or think we're missing something? Let us know - we'd love to hear your ideas!
