Module convenor: Show Pau Loke Faculty: Science and Engineering The Science and Engineering Internships are for students who want to get more experience within the work field of research in University of Nottingham (UNM). The internships are not paid, but students will receive an appreciation letter and study credits (10). Students will work full time for minimum of 10 weeks during the summer semester. Work content depends on the specific researcher who the student is attached with. This internship will prepare students for the job market, giving them hands on experience and opportunity to expend their hard and soft skills.
The module aims to help students to gain research experience and well-prepare for their final year project in the area of Research and Development. This module is to encourage more undergraduate students to utilise their summer break to learn additional skills e.g., handling a research project (research skill), writing a journal paper (writing skills), design a plant model (design skills), etc.
