Module convenor: Sharon Romeo

Module description
‘Global Citizen’ is a module aimed at encouraging students to interact with and learn in depth information about different cultures that they haven’t encountered before. Each student enrolled in this
module will select one person belonging to a different country and will interact with them to
learn about their culture. They can either pair up with other students taking the module or
seek the permission of another student to learn from. A detailed template will be provided to
each student that explains what kind of information they are expected to learn. This includes but is not limited to:
1. Geography, climate, population
2. Festivals, food, religion, clothing, arts (music, dance, literature, cinema), language
3. Political system, division of states, current affairs, economy
They will then be required to present what they have learnt, and include their personal experience learning about this culture. Grading will be based on how much information is covered and how well it has been presented.
