Award for UNM Computer Science Alumnus at IECBES 2024

Mohammad Asdaq Bhutta, who graduated in July 2024 with BSc (Honors) in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, has received a Best Paper Award in the 8th IEEE-EMBS Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (IECBES2024), as the first author for the paper entitled "A Preliminary Study on Fourier Neural Operator-Based Surrogate Models for Radiofrequency Ablation for Small Liver Cancer Treatment Planning". The paper is based on his Final Year Project report which was jointly supervised by Dr. Iman Yi Liao in the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham Malaysia, and Dr. Ean Hin Ooi in the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia.
