The School of Computer Science held their annual Research Away Day on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024 at the beautiful University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. The full day programme was divided into two distinct sessions, namely: publication (in the morning) and grant (in the afternoon). Both sessions allowed fellow Computer Science members of staff to engage with each other on discussions that will not only improve everyone’s publication and grant portfolio, but to also identify research areas where stronger collaboration between everyone in the school can be forged. This will subsequently increase the research portfolio of the school.
Aside from the discussions, Dr ZhiYuan Chen (Head of the School of Computer Science) took the opportunity to reward fellow members of staff on their excellent contributions to research as well as teaching and learning over the academic year of 2023/2024. The School would like to congratulate all recipients on their excellence award – well done!
The School sincerely thanks Professor Tomas Maul (Director of Research) for organising a very successful away day. May it lead to an increased number of publications and grants over the upcoming academic year (2024/2025).
