On Monday, 14 October 2024, seven students and three lecturers attended the BAE Systems Future Graduates Round Table, held from 2pm to 6pm. The event aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry applications, with a particular focus on AI, infrastructure engineering, and cyber security.
Students had the chance to openly discuss their career goals and questions with industry experts in a friendly and collaborative setting. This format helped students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and learning from professionals, making classroom knowledge more relevant.
The event included networking activities that encouraged students to connect with each other and industry professionals, allowing them to build relationships, share ideas, and explore career possibilities. A highlight of the event was the inspiring presentation by two junior cyber security engineers from BAE Systems, Farihatul Husna Abd Razak and Syadza Mohd Rezal. They shared their career journeys, highlighted the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in the tech industry. Their stories inspired students to explore different career paths within the industry.
