On August 6th, 2024, the School of Computer Science proudly hosted the annual Research Collaboration Forum, focusing this year on "Advanced Computing and Intelligent Engineering (ACIE)." The forum brought together esteemed researchers, scholars, and experts from Malaysia and China to share groundbreaking work in this rapidly evolving field. A total of eight researchers from five different universities (University of Nottingham Malaysia, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Harbin Engineering University) presented their innovative research, showcasing a diverse array of topics that are pushing the boundaries of computational intelligence. The forum began with an opening address from Dr. ZhiYuan Chen, Head of School, who emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving technological advancements. Dr. Chen also highlighted the school’s commitment to supporting research that aligns with the University’s strategic goals and values. Prof. Jiang Feng, Dean of the School of Future Technology at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology gave a welcoming remark too. In his address, Prof. Jiang emphasized the critical role of computational intelligence in driving technological innovation. The Research Collaboration Forum is an annual event organized by the School of Computer Science to promote the sharing of knowledge and collaboration among researchers. Each year, the forum focuses on a specific theme relevant to current technological advancements.
