Biography

Dr Kenny Wong is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the Nottingham University Business School, where he teaches students in the area of Information Systems, Database Design, Entrepreneurship and Business. He received his PhD from School of Management, Queen's University of Belfast, UK, in 2008 and was a recipient of Queen's scholarship. Kenny is an alumni member of Cambridge-MIT Institute where he completed the Enterprisers programme in 2005. He was also a recipient of the 2001 FCO's Chevening scholarship, which enabled him to pursue his MSc study with University of Ulster, UK. He had an IT and Management degree from University of Malaya, Malaysia. Before joining the academic career, he worked as an Account Manager with International Business Machines, where he was awarded the IBM Manager's Excellence Award.

Current Research

Kenny's research interests are in the area of E-Government, E-Business, Performance Measurements, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Currently, he is a visiting scholar at University of Ryukoku, Kyoto, Japan (2010 to 2012) working on an E-Government research project. He has published his information systems research in Behavior and Information Technology, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, and Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research. Internationally, he has research collaborations with counterparts from University of Southampton, University of Essex, Canterbury Christ Church University, and University of Ryukoku. He is currently supervising a number of postgraduate students at MA/MSc, MBA and PhD levels in both the Nottingham University Business School and School of Computer Science, Malaysia campus.
