Professor Chew Ging Lee, Dean of NUBS Malaysia, attended the 5th International Business School Shanghai Conference 2014, hosted by the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, on October 9-10, 2014. The conference saw contributions from 230 participants from over 35 countries on the theme of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Discussions at the conference focused on new international accreditation standards for management education, emerging opportunities for Asian business schools, and the role of innovation and entreneurship education in driving sustainable development.
Plenary speakers at the conference included Professor Zhou Lin, Dean of the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor William Boulding, Dean of the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, USA, Professor Alfons Sauquet Rovira, Dean of ESADE Business School Spain, Professor Soumitra Dutta, Dean of the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, USA, and Porfessor Cai Hongbin, Dean of the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, China.
The event was also a platform for business education leaders from emerging markets and elsewhere in the world to network and explore collaboration activities.
Professor Lee also participated in a gathering of business school deans from the Asia-Pacific region.
