NUBS Malaysia’s Executive Education arm organised a five-day Advanced Management Programme for 20 senior civil servants from the Public Services Department (JPA) from 22-26 March 2021. The programme, held at the Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur, delved into the areas of innovation management, cross-cultural leadership, and managing change and conflict through coaching.
This was the Executive Education arm's first training programme to be run via a hybrid mode - with face-to-face sessions by NUBS Malaysia’s Dr Mohan Avvari (Director of Research and Associate Professor of Strategy and Innovation), Dr Maniam Kaliannan (Associate Professor of Human Resource Management), Ms Vanitha Ponnusamy (Assistant Professor of Organisational Management), Dr Mathew Abraham (Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour) and Dr Angelina Yee (Director of Executive Education and Associate Professor of Accounting); and online delivery by colleagues from Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China, Professor Martin Lockett (Dean, NUBS China) and Dr Peter Morgan (Associate Dean and Associate Professor).
NUBS Malaysia Dean Dr Lau Chee Kwong delivered the welcome address. The closing address featured a guest talk by Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr Jason Pandya-Wood, who spoke on reflections on social policy in the time of COVID-19.
