Heartiest congratulations to Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) Malaysia students who received the 2019 CPA Australia Book Prize during an awards ceremony held at the University of Nottingham Malaysia on 13 December 2019.
The CPA Australia Book Prize consists of cash prizes awarded to the top students in three second-year modules - Accounting Information Systems, Corporate Finance and Intermediate Corporate Reporting. The recipients of the 2019 book prize are the following students who are currently in the final year of the BSc (Hons) Finance Accounting and Management degree programme:
- Mr Ahmed Misbah, for Corporate Finance
- Mr Andy Yan Rong En, for Intermediate Corporate Reporting
- Ms Hong Qi Jun, for Accounting Information Systems
The prizes were presented by CPA Australia's Business Development Manager, Ms Prisheeni Prakas, who also spoke to students about the CPA Australia qualification, and about the importance of professional qualifications for career growth, particularly for students pursuing an accounting pathway.
NUBS Malaysia was represented by Director of Student Experience, Engagement and Employability and Associate Professor of Financial Economics Dr Roy Khong, and Assistant Professor of Auditing and Accounting Dr Jayalakshmy Ramachandran.
