NUBS Malaysia academic invited to the SAS-EON Bank Group Knowledge Discovery Challenge 2010 Judging Panel

Dr Hsin-Vonn Seow, Assistant Professor in Operations Research at Nottingham University Business School Malaysia, has been invited to the panel of judges for the SAS-EON Bank Group Knowledge Discovery Challenge 2010 Finals to be held on September 22, 2010.

The national-level competition will see the top 6 teams from participating universities in Malaysia presenting business proposals based on the application of data mining to marketing and campaign management, with data analysis conducted using SAS software (http://www.sas.com).

Hsin-Vonn's research interests lie in applications of management science techniques in finance and banking with a strong interest in credit scoring and credit control, interactive application channels (internet and telephone banking) for financial products, and data mining. She is currently the Director of the PhD Programme and is a member of the Business School's Research Committee
