ICAEW appointed Patron of the Wall Street Society

 
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has recently accepted its appointment as Patron of the Wall Street Society of NUBS Malaysia. The Wall Street Society was established in 2003 and focuses mainly on career development of students, by giving insights of working life and helping them to enhance their management, social and leadership skills. 

Mr Mark Billington, ICAEW Regional Director for South East Asia, who attended the signing ceremony held at UNMC in March 2011, said that ICAEW was committed to the career enhancement of the student population as a whole. Mr Billington also said that he is positive that The Wall Street Society of NUBS will help students foster networking ties and exposure them to the corporate world through site visits to companies. The ICAEW will also be supporting major events organised by the Wall Street Society, which includes Business Games, networking sessions, workshops, competition and career talks. 

The President of the Wall Street Society, Mr Liaw Long Lot, believes that the their working relationship with ICAEW will further enhance the objectives of the society and also mark a new era of good collaboration with ICAEW.
