Course overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy Honours (BPharm Hons) is a four-year degree that equips you for a fulfilling career in pharmacy. The programme aims to prepare the next generation of pharmacists to be leaders in healthcare, upholding the highest standards of patient care and medication safety.

Our programme integrates scientific knowledge, professional practice, and patient care through the innovative “Drug, Medicine, and Patient” (DMP) approach, where you’ll explore therapeutic themes by examining drugs, their formulation, and their effects on patients right from Year 1.

From Year 1 through Year 3, you’ll build a solid foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, while developing critical research and data analysis skills through a semester-long research project. You’ll also refine your clinical and communication skills through hands-on role-play with simulated patients in our state-of-the-art Professional Development Suite. These practical experiences are further enhanced with placements in community and hospital pharmacies, giving you valuable real-world exposure.

In your final year, extended placements in industrial and community pharmacy settings will further bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing you to enter the profession with confidence.
